I moved to Pittsburgh in 2008.
I was born in Philly (don't hold it against me) went to school at Penn State, met my wife Amanda there, and we moved to Pittsburgh in 2008. We've lived in the East End since 2013.
We have three kids, two cats, and an unhealthy obsession with football. Pittsburgh has been home for a long time now and I can't imagine being anywhere else.
I am not Polish.
Despite having the last name Wrzeszczynski (It's pronounced Ra-zin-ski!), I'm actually 0% Polish which was a fun revelation I discovered at 34 thanks to a DNA test.
I'm mostly Italian. I do still enjoy pierogis though, so there's that.
I've been to 41 states.
And 14 countries. As a family we love to travel, we'll eventually get to all 50 states and plan to visit a lot more countries along the way.
We've been all over the world, from Australia to Taiwan to Europe to Costa Rica. We even took our one and four year olds on a road trip across the country. The camera always comes with us.
I bought my first camera at 14.
It took me over 20 years to turn that passion into a professional career. When I finally did, focusing on newborns was the only thing that felt right.
There's something about being trusted to capture a family in those very first days that I find genuinely meaningful. I'm a dad of three. I know firsthand how fast it goes and how much these early moments matter. I take that seriously every single session.
